Population and housing statistics for an area
Retrieve official statistics for a small geographic area — postcode, neighbourhood, district or municipality: number of residents, age breakdown, households and household size, housing stock, tenure and population density, as published by the national statistics office. Official statistics rather than modelled or panel estimates, which is also why small areas carry suppressed values that must not be read as zero. Dutch CBS coverage: postcode 4, postcode 6, buurt, wijk, gemeente.
price-ascending: candidates are ordered by the listed price of the operation, with no managed-first preference applied. Unlike /v1/apis, this surface does not rank Apiosk-settled listings above federated ones — a comparison that reorders on commercial grounds is not a comparison. Pass sort=managed_first for the catalog's ordering.
| Provider | Operation | Price | Settlement | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PDOK — Dutch Geospatial & Government Data | GET /cbs/postcode4/ogc/v1/collections/postcode4/items | $0.02 | via Apiosk | CBS postcode-4: coarser, far less often suppressed, and the fallback when the postcode-6 figures are all -99997. Its `postcode` parameter is a four-digit NUMBER, so the capability's string postcode input is deliberately NOT mapped onto it — a six-character code like 1015CW would go upstream unusable. Reach it by bbox, or supply postcode explicitly. |
| PDOK — Dutch Geospatial & Government Data | GET /cbs/postcode6/ogc/v1/collections/postcode6/items | $0.02 | via Apiosk | CBS postcode-6: the finest official geography, and therefore the most often suppressed. Values CBS withholds come back as -99997, not null. |
| PDOK — Dutch Geospatial & Government Data | GET /cbs/wijken-en-buurten-2025/ogc/v1/collections/buurten/items | $0.02 | via Apiosk | CBS neighbourhood (buurt) statistics, 2025. Adds density, surface area and household size that the postcode datasets do not carry, and is filterable by buurtcode, wijkcode or gemeente. |
