The official global LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) registry from GLEIF, the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation. Search or look up any legal entity by LEI, name, BIC or ISIN; trace corporate ownership (direct and ultimate parents); resolve ISIN-to-LEI mappings; and look up the accredited LOUs (issuing organizations) and reference codes (country, jurisdiction, legal form) that LEI records use. Data comes from the GLEIF Golden Copy, the authoritative daily snapshot of the global LEI system.

GLEIF publishes the worldwide registry of Legal Entity Identifiers used in KYB, compliance, sanctions and counterparty-risk workflows. `lei-records` is the flagship resource: pass an LEI, a name, a BIC or an ISIN, or append a known LEI as a path segment for the full record plus its relationship graph (direct-parent, ultimate-parent, isins, lei-issuer, managing-lou, field-modifications all live under that same LEI). `fuzzycompletions` does statistical name matching when the exact legal name is not known. The remaining resources are the reference tables an agent needs to make sense of the codes inside an LEI record: which LOU manages it (`lei-issuers`), which vLEI issuers are qualified (`vlei-issuers`), and what a country, jurisdiction, region, legal-form or registration-authority code actually means. GLEIF itself is free and rate-limited to 60 requests/minute; Apiosk meters and charges per call so an agent never needs its own GLEIF integration.
